The Designer

The designer who comes to your home.

I am Staci Perkins, owner of Reid Design. Here is who you would be working with, and how I think about a room.

My Story

Why I Started Reid Design

I didn't start Reid Design because everything was perfectly lined up. I started it because I've always known how much a home can shape the way you feel. A well-designed space isn't just about how it looks, it's about how it functions, how it flows, and how it supports your everyday life.

Growing up, I watched my grandmother rearrange furniture the way other people solved puzzles, intuitively, patiently, until something clicked. I didn't realize it at the time, but that's where it started for me. I learned early on that a space can feel right, or it can feel off. And that difference matters.

Over time, that instinct turned into something I couldn't ignore. I saw how many homeowners wanted a home that felt warm, cohesive, and truly theirs, but felt overwhelmed by where to begin or discouraged by the process.

So I built Reid Design to be different. Approachable. Thoughtful. Honest.

I'm based in Plainfield and work with clients across Greater Indianapolis who want more than just a pretty space, they want a home that works. I'm transparent about cost, clear about the process, and intentional with every detail so your space feels both elevated and livable.

Because at the end of the day, design isn't about perfection. It's about creating a home that feels like you, comfortable, functional, and lived in.

The Design Philosophy

What I Believe

  • Your vision first

I design for you, not for my portfolio. A beautiful room that doesn't fit how you actually live isn't a success, it's just expensive.

  • Spaces that last

Trends fade; well-chosen design doesn't. I prioritize pieces that feel right five years from now, not just five minutes after they're photographed.

  • The details matter

Every throw pillow has a reason. The details are what separate a good room from one you can't stop thinking about.

Off the Clock

A little more about me.

Design is the job, but it is not the whole story.

Beyond design

Outside the studio I am usually chasing two dogs around the yard, repainting something that did not need repainting, or talking a friend out of beige. I grew up in central Georgia and still think the best design ideas come from real houses, not showrooms.

Currently

Reading
Self-help books or any design magazine I can get my hands on.
Listening to
Music is always on. Always!
Cannot stop sourcing
Lighting, rugs, and those little finishing pieces that make a room feel complete.
Loving right now
Warm neutrals, natural wood, layered textures, and spaces that feel collected instead of overly styled.
